Americans have it pretty good when it comes to new vehicles on offer. However, we still get envious of our Trans-Atlantic friends, and the machinery that they get to play with. Whether a hot hatch, fun-to-drive fuel miser, or just something beautiful, the Europeans have no shortage of machinery that makes us jealous. Here is a list of some of our favorite cars that we can’t drive. As always, let us know what you think.
One of the nicest looking cars is getting a small makeover. These spy photos show the 2011 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster looking a little more like the V12 Vantage.
Our spy photographers have been hard at work lately. On top of the near-production metal running around, we received these photos of the Aston Martin Rapide racecar during a shakedown for next month’s 24-Hour race at the Nürburgring.
James Bond has just become a bit more exclusive. Aston Martin has just previewed a special edition of 007’s most recent ride, and it is very black. The Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black Special Edition (breathe), is the most exclusive iteration of the top-end DBS model, it self a variation of the middling DB9. Although the DBS Carbon Black features no powertrain improvements over the standard DBS, it does feature a variety of special cosmetic pieces.

The über-exotic Rapide, Aston Martin’s new four-door, four-seat sports car, officially launches in the second quarter (late Spring) of 2010, retailing for a base MSRP of $199,950. Aston Martin expects to build approximately 2000 Rapides total in the first year of production.
