This video collects several Isuzu Gemini commercials filmed in the 1980s. They feature some incredible driving choreographed by Rémy Julienne.
The Brazilian Grand Prix is this weekend, and, as the end of the season approaches, a lot can hinge on this single race. Take, for instance, the Brazilian Grand Prix of 2008, the final event of that particularly close season, where the champion was decided in a final-lap upset.
If we weren’t going to be busy trick-or-treating (and don’t start with that “too old” garbage), we’d be off committing Halloween pranks like the one shown here, using a remotely controlled car, a microphone, and, of course, a human skeleton.
This little doozy happened on May 2 of this year during the second Formula 2 race at the Marrakech Street Circuit. The camera is onboard Paul Rees’ car, when the car of Ricardo Teixeira takes a flying leap from behind.
In case you aren’t already pumped up that the weekend is upon us, this video should get your pulse going a bit. It’s Patrick Snijers at the 1988 Manx Rally, beautifully piloting his BMW M3 (E30) to a win.
Sometimes, after driving, writing, and editing all week (tough life, we know), we’re running on fumes by Friday. We know a lot of you are, too. So, in an attempt to mentally check out for a few minutes (and still try to get away with calling it work), we’d like to share with you a Friday video.
Happy Birthday, America! For Independence Day, we wanted to celebrate with an appropriate list. We thought we’d combine one of our favorite things—the automobile—with everyone’s favorite part of the Fourth of July (apart from, of course, our freedom from the redcoats).
The Chrysler group has released a couple of commercials, one for the Dodge Challenger, and one for the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both tugs at the patriot’s heartstrings, though the anachronistic Dodge ad, we think, is particularly clever. It gave us a chuckle, too, when we caught the deadly serious look on George Washington’s face. And, we always love to see a Jeep get tossed around in the mud.
Today, Jeep released photos and video of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee ahead of its production launch this Friday.
Earlier, we brought you information on the upcoming Codemasters title, F1 2010, which will come to consoles in September. Now, we have more screenshots from the game, as well as the second “Developers’ Diary” video.
We’re keeping our eye on this one. While Blur may not be the most realistic racing game, it looks god enough for us to get our gamer fix while we wait (decreasingly) patiently for Gran Turismo 5 to launch.
It’s Friday, which means it’s almost time to break out the video game paddles and take on the Nürburgring from the comfort of our couch. To help us with our line, Ferrari has generously posted this video of the 599XX breaking the seven-minute barrier for a production-derived car. The time: 6 minutes, 58.16 seconds.
Video game developer Codemasters has released a video giving an insight into the development of F1 2010. The newest F1 game is due out September for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
We cringed until the end, then had a good chuckle.
As if they really needed one, Pagani now has a commercial for the Zonda R. While we won’t be buying one anytime soon, we’ll relish the opportunity to see the car in motion and to hear that incredible, AMG-sourced engine note another time. Plus, some of the photography is truly stunning.
Red Bull’s Formula 1 team seems pretty excited about the return of the Canada Grand Prix in Montreal. Instead of waiting until June, they take a car out on the Canadian ice to gear up.
In our discussion of our favorite vehicles from the Detroit Auto Show, we (keep in mind, who happen to be the type of people whose favorite Christmas movie is Die Hard) mentioned the stunning introduction of the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. Was it really as cool as we said it was?
Despite its protean unofficial release date, Gran Turismo 5 is taking steps toward completion, as evidenced by yet another batch of screenshots and a video, these depicting the Toyota FT-86 concept.
We have just received the cover art for the upcoming PS3 title, Gran Turismo 5. We’re happy to see our favorite new gullwing, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG on the cover.
This concept vehicle from 1924 looks like a heap of fun. The video below offers a demonstration of the Snow Vehicle concept, which is a hybrid of a Fordson Tractor and a Chevrolet automobile, built by Armstead Snow Motors.
