For just about any industry, 100 year anniversaries are a rare occurrence, and hitting that milestone is certainly cause for celebration. For most auto manufacturers that typically equates to a special trim package or similar treatments applied to an already existing flagship model. But BMW, which is set to hit triple digits in 2016, is rumored to be cooking up something particularly interesting to mark the occasion.
A Belgian car company with a history for making luxury cars until 1938 before going out of business in 1956 will rise from its ashes…
Petrolheads, rejoice. A new report out on AutoExpress gives supercar enthusiasts the world over yet another reason to celebrate—Audi has confirmed that it is working on a brand new diesel-hybrid supercar that will slot in above the R8.

About a month ago we brought you a First Look on the stunning new V12 Zagato from Aston Martin. The world debut of the car is slated for this week in Geneva, and Aston has given us another, decidedly more visceral, taste of the V12 with this lovely video.
This car is a work of art. It’s really understated for a machine with a $150K-plus price tag, making it a perfect vehicle for the driver who has the money to spend on a car like this, but isn’t looking to necessarily flaunt their wealth. And you can’t go wrong with that engine, either. This car is fast and smooth. And, while it may look like just another Mercedes to the casual passerby, it’s unforgettable to any person who takes it for a ride.
It took a few runs up the rev ladder for us to notice it, but the sweet spot—where the exhaust note decants audibly in the desert air at exactly the same moment that the engine is spinning up power in a rising wave of giddy excess—is a moving target between 6000 and about 6500 rpm. Hit that spot in third gear, with the throttle opened all the way up, and the asphalt swinging away ahead of you in a gentle, hot arc, and you’ll be forgiven by any man, woman, or being that you swear fealty to for thinking that you’ve stepped into heaven’s earthly boundaries.
As if they really needed one, Pagani now has a commercial for the Zonda R. While we won’t be buying one anytime soon, we’ll relish the opportunity to see the car in motion and to hear that incredible, AMG-sourced engine note another time. Plus, some of the photography is truly stunning.
Pagani, maker of the infamous Zonda, is working on a new supercar, the Pagani C9, as seen in these spy photos, taken in South Africa.
Spotted at a remote “secret” test track in northern Scandinavia, these new spy photos represent the world’s first ever look at the car that will eventually replace the mighty Lamborghini Murcielago. Early rumors indicate that Lamborghini with revive the Jota nameplate for its new supercar.
The Noble M12 is, in a word, superb, but we haven’t seen the last of Lee Noble’s supercar creations. These new teaser images are the first renderings of an all-new supercar, set to start development next month in South Africa.
We’ve been waiting for this one for quite some time. McLaren’s last official entry into the supercar world was the too-hot F1 which ended production in the late 1990s. But now Lamborghini and Ferrari have a new kid to do battle with — the MP4-12C, which has been developed entirely in-house and derived from Formula 1 technologies.
