Recently, the staff here at Winding Road have been using the Hero3+ Black Edition to capture some of the footage shared on our YouTube channel. After spending some time with the camera and getting to know the device and its settings in detail, we’ve gotten a feel for where it really shines and where there’s still some room for progress to be made.
CT Scuderia is the brainchild of third generation Italian watch maker Enrico Margariteli, whose impressive career has included collaborations with Emporio Armani and Fossil, as well as his own brands of the past, Soviet watches and Key West. Contatempo Scuderia is a collection of unique timepieces that blend the meticulous mechanics of Swiss construction and design inspired by Margariteli’s personal involvement in professional motorcycle racing. Handmade in Switzerland, these watches utilize the same leather found in luxury sports cars for their interchangeable straps, while the positioning of the crown and pushers on each timepiece recall the aesthetic and functionality of a vintage stopwatch.
Black Armor is a new, Texas based helmet manufacture that is owned and operated by Texas Rallysport, a company that’s been bringing rallycross events to the Austin, Dallas, and Houston areas for years. James Wilson, owner and operator of Black Armor, tell us his roots have always been in motorsport, but after a stint on the distribution side of racing safety equipment, he turned his sights back to direct involvement in racing, as well as the research and development of a new helmet design that might just become the next big thing in carbon fiber helmets.

Along with the EGO action cam we reviewed earlier this month, another standout in Liquid Image’s lineup of action cams is the Torque series goggle cameras. To the uninitiated, the Torque cam looks just like any other pair of motocross goggles, but closer inspection will reveal the 1080p camera embedded just above the user’s eyeline, allowing the camera to capture everything the user sees in full HD resolution.
The Liquid Image EGO is a mountable action cam in a similar vein to GoPro cameras. Various adjustable mounts, cases and covers are available, providing added flexibility in terms of what types of activities you can record with the EGO. While not flawless, the EGO provides a number of advantages over comparable GoPro models, making it an interesting option for those with particular needs that GoPro cams might not be able to provide as adeptly.
Autoglym’s Super Resin Polish is a buffing polish which can be used to treat fine surface scratches, swirl marks, scuffs and minor paint stains. Polish like this is designed to be used after washing and drying the paint but before using a sealer like Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection or a finishing wax like Autoglym High Definition Wax. You could think of polish as an incredibly fine sand paper – by applying polish to the clearcoat layer of your paint, you’re essentially sanding (smoothing) out the blemishes in your paint by flattening out the paint surface and removing any embedded debris in the paint and creating a new, unblemished clearcoat surface.
