Base Versus Loaded: 2012 Audi R8 Spyder 5.2

Reviews I By Brandon Turkus I February 01, 2012
There aren’t a lot of supercar manufacturers that will openly publicize how much a car costs while using an online configurator. Try and get a price on that pretty, new Ferrari FF you just built, and you’ll be disappointed. It’s worse at Lamborghini, which doesn’t even offer an online configurator. Thankfully, Audi also builds cars that the a large percentage of the 99 percent can afford, so offering pricing is a necessity. That means we can build über-equipped R8 Spyders, and know exactly how many pennies we need to save up to buy one.

Base

Price: $162,700 (Audi R8 Spyder 5.2) + $1250 (destination & handling) + $3000 (Gas Guzzler Tax) + $0 (options) = $166,950

Loaded
