Car And Driver Tests 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster
Wonder what it’s like to go 200 miles per hour with the top down? You can do it in the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster. No, we haven’t had a crack at it yet, but the fellas over at Car And Driver were lucky enough to get behind the wheel, and kind enough to share the experience with readers.
It’s a beautiful and slightly odd-looking car, and the C&D write-up explains how Felippo Perini found inspiration from jet fighters as well as, um, beetles—that’s the insect, not the curvy Volkswagen offering.
Jet fighter, indeed.
And yes, C&D actually drives the thing, fast, and describes what its like to mash the throttle, calling up the 691 horsepower from the 6.5-liter V-12 engine situated just behind the driver. For those who are interested, they even discuss the car’s fuel economy.
