Preview: 2015 Lexus RC F
Back in November at the Tokyo Motor Show, Lexus unveiled the production-ready RC Coupe. While the RC Coupe certainly looked the business, with a choice of either a 314 hp V6 or a 2.5-liter Lexus Hybrid Drive system, RC and IS chief engineer Junichi Furuyama stated at the time that the RC Coupe was designed to ”deliver extra response that exhilarates rather than overwhelms drivers”. At the time, we took that as an indication that this new coupe might end up being a lot more show than go. Fortunately, it turns out that the overwhelming level of performance was being reserved for another variant of the new coupe: the RC F.

BMW M3 and M4 Officially Announced
Today at long last BMW unveiled the 2015 M4 Coupe and M3 sedan. While several key aspects of the new cars buck with BMW tradition, the automaker contends that the newest members of the M family have the performance credentials to prove their worth.
Driven: 2014 BMW 328i
Already into its third year of production, the sixth generation 3-Series remains the benchmark by which all other sport sedans are measured. While there haven’t been many dramatic changes since the F30’s introduction for the 2012 model year, when we were offered a go in a new 328i equipped with the rarely optioned row-your-own six speed manual gearbox, it didn’t take much coaxing to get us behind the wheel.
Video: BMW M235i Racing Hits the Track
Following up last month’s announcement and image rendering of the forthcoming M235i Racing, BMW has just released some footage of the new car getting put through its paces on the track. The new competition-ready 2 series is slated to run in the VLN Endurance Championship and the Nürburgring 24 Hours on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, as well as BMW Sports Trophy competition.

Rimac Concept One Is An All Electric World Beater
Sporting four electric motors with a combined output of 1000 horsepower, a top speed of 190mph and a range of 150 miles, the Croatia based EV startup responsible for this gas-free super sports car also holds the record for the fastest accelerating EV in the world – a converted 1984 BMW E30 which served as a test mule for the Concept One. And Rimac says the Concept One is ready for production today.
BMW M Division Gets Serious With Race Focused M235i
Starting in 2014, would-be private BMW race teams can dial up BMW M Performance and order themselves a competition-ready 2 series coupe, dubbed the M235i Racing. The spiritual successor to the BMW M3 GT4, the new entry-level racer “meets all the basic requirements of a successful entry-level racing car”, says BMW.
Tokyo 2013: Nissan IDx Freeflow and IDx Nismo Concepts
Nissan is showing two new concept cars built on the same architecture at the Tokyo Motor show, called the IDx Freeflow and IDx Nismo. The futuristic coupes have a somewhat retro personality to them and, according to Nissan, the concepts represent “a new approach to product development.”

BMW has announced the successor to the 1-Series Coupe with the all-new rear-drive 2-Series Coupe. The subcompact coupe will be offered as a 228i and the M235i.

Frankfurt 2013: BMW i8 Debuts, Priced For US
The BMW i8 has made its debut at the Frankfurt motor show, and has been given a price for when it goes on sale in the US in the spring of 2014. The innovative, all-wheel-drive, plug-in hybrid sports car will have a starting cost of $135,925.

Driven: 2014 Jaguar F-Type
In one sense, the new Jaguar F-Type is a simple car to discuss. It is dynamically very good, though it has a particular character, like any well-done car. It looks beautiful, which you can probably glean from photos, and this fortunately turns out to be a judgment that holds up upon seeing the car in the aluminum and leather. It is comfortable and usable in daily driving, although it has rather strict cargo limitations. And it is expensive, although there is a reasoned argument that the F-Type is priced below its likely competitors.

Preview: Montecarlo Rascasse
In the tiny nation of Monaco, home of the eponymous Formula 1 Grand Prix in the city of Monte Carlo, is a car manufacturer called Monte Carlo Automobile (also known as Montecarlo Automobile; also known as MCA). The marque’s newest vehicle is the Rascasse supercar, an impressively upscale 500-horsepower machine with an overtly nautically themed interior.
