Rumors: Model News — BMW M6 Gran Coupe Imminent

According to the Roundel-obsessed crew at BMWBlog.com, the all-new M6 Gran Coupe has received an exclusive unveiling at der Nürburgring, ahead of its official debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

 

This car is essentially a more aggressive version of the sexy 6-Series Gran Coupe with the powertrain from an M6. Sounds like a good combination to us. It should pump out 560 horsepower, top out at 155 miles per hour (limited, of course), and hit 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The price? Around $120,000. To put that in perspective, a Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG starts at just under $100,000, and can be bumped up to 550-horsepower for just an extra $7300.

 

In fact, the M6 Gran Coupe will be the second most expensive model in the BMW range, bested only by the spectacular, V-12-powered 760Li. We can’t wait. We’ll have more on the M6 Gran Coupe when it makes its debut in January at the 2013 NAIAS.
