The 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed is happening July 4th through July 7th, so we thought it would be a good idea to share some vintage racing content that is especially cool: a mid-engine prototype Audi Group S rally car at Goodwood back in 2017.

While The Stones sang that “You can’t always get what you want”, they added that “If you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need”. With Nissan’s unveiling of the GTR-LM (during the Super Bowl, interestingly) WEC LMP1 endurance racing may indeed get what it needs.
Mazda has taken the wraps off its newest prototype, which is set to compete in this year’s Tudor United SportsCar Championship. Powered by 2.2-liter Skyactiv diesel motor, it is the sole diesel-powered entrant in the race.
Acura has posted a photo on Twitter of a running NSX prototype on what appears to be a test track. In addition, it announced that the car will take a lap on live television ahead of the Mid-Ohio Indy 200 on Sunday, August 4.
Images of an electric gullwing have emerged on the internet. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell, expected to go on sale in 2013, is electric version of the SLS AMG we’ve already driven, with a few other changes.
