2020 SRO At COTA In Photos; say that five times fast!
This past weekend was the SRO America season opener at COTA. Lots of great racing went down, with notable action revolving around Copeland cleaning up with their Velosters in TCR and TCA. They scored big on both Saturday and Sunday.
TC was more Spec BMW M240i than anything else; we’re certainly not complaining, as it’s a very capable chassis and made for some tight battles.
GT4 was also a thrill, with Drew Staveley taking a well-earned win in the #12 Ian Lacy Racing Mustang on Saturday – his GT4 America Sprint Pro debut! He finished ahead of Porsche racing veteran Spencer Pumpelly, followed by three-time Driver’s Champion Michael Cooper in the #10 Blackdog Speed Shop McLaren 570S.
Check out the GT4 results over here!
Finally, GT World Challenge America was off to a great season start, with Racer's Edge Motorsports taking the win on Saturday with their #93 Acura NSX piloted by Shelby Blackstock and Trent Hindman. World Challenge veteran James Sofronas was on pole before the start in his #14 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, finishing second. Full report over here.
Our very own Nick Hrehor was at the track on Saturday and snapped quite a few great shots; scope them out below and to the right in the gallery!
