Back in August of last year, the Oldtimer GP went down at the Nürburgring, which is a celebration of older and vintage race cars from various series over the years. In particular, there was quite a grid of former touring cars dating back to the late-70’s. YouTube channel Belgian-Motorsport posted an excellent video highlighting the eclectic mix of cars in attendance, some of which have some very historical significance. Personal favorites of ours’ include a BMW E30 M3 with Jägermeister livery, an Audi A4 STW from the late 90s, and a Zakspeed Ford Capri Turbo. Unfortunately there is no footage of any crazy curb-hopping like we’re used to seeing with classic DTM cars, but the sights and sounds and beautiful nonetheless.
We can’t wait for more European vintage racing action this Summer!
