This past weekend was the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring, one of the most grueling endurance races ever (which we forgot to mention in last week’s “This Weekend in Racing” article, our deepest apologies). With a lot more turns than Le Mans and a very eclectic mix of cars on track (everything from a Mk3 VW GTI to Porsche 991.2 911 Cup cars, and even the new Supra!), it truly makes for some great racing. Rain is usually in the cards for at least part of the weekend every year, though this time around it thankfully stayed dry, and thus helped cut down on the amount of strain that drivers and teams experience running a day straight in the Green Hell. There were a ton of great battles all-race-long, though this one in particular caught our eye: #4 and #29 Audi R8s duking it out through the menacing course while dealing with a lot of traffic. Check it out!
