Gear Review: GoPuck 5X Rapid Charger
The GoPuck (Portable USB Charging Kit) is a lightweight, durable rapid charging battery pack, designed to provide quick charging capability for a multitude of devices with USB-derived charge ports. With its 6600 mAh internal battery pack, the GoPuck is capable of fully recharging an iPhone 5S up to 4 times on a single GoPuck charge. Equipped with two USB charging ports (one Standard and the other Rapid), you can recharge your phone at speeds which rival or even exceed the charge time performance of having the device plugged directly into a wall socket.
Car Stuff: Optima Digital 1200 12V Performance Charger
We were recently given the opportunity to test Optima’s new Digital 1200 12V Performance Charger. The Digital 1200 is significant as it’s Optima’s first crack at a battery charger and it has some impressive features and specs. As a division within the world’s largest battery manufacturer, Johnson Controls, Optima has been given access to the resources needed to produce a charger that’s twice as fast as anything else of similar size, or price. The “Performance Charger” name is for serious, folks.
First Look: 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser
The new Cruiser gets a refreshed nose and tail, with styling elements borrowed from the current Toyota Highlander. Inside, it’s mainly a matter of newer materials and trim colors, although Toyota’s Entune system is available as part of the standard hard-drive-based navigation system.
