Video: Audi Sport Quattro Concept In Action

Audi unveiled the Sport Quattro Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year, and the 700-horespower beauty has garnered a lot of attention from enthusiasts around the globe. Since the German Audi Communications Facebook page has received 100,000 fans, Audi posted this special video of the Sport Quattro on its German YouTube channel.

 

It’s a short video—only 50 seconds—but we appreciate the chance to see the car in motion. We like the push-button starter on the steering wheel; it might not be the ideal placement in practice, but it looks impressive. We get a better view of the rear end, and while some of the YouTube commenters might not agree, we think it has an aggressive, undeniably sporty character. And after seeing the front fascia from a more direct angle, we’d be intimidated if it showed up in our rear-view mirror.

 

The Sport Quattro Concept features a plug-in hybrid powertrain using a biturbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 and electric motor. It does 0-60 in just 3.7 seconds, and has a top speed of 189 miles per hour.

 

We really hope this one makes it to production.
