Today, we received an odd email in our inbox from Lotus Cars, appearing to be an internal note (a likely story), but “accidentally” sent to media outlets. Within the email were some details about upcoming versions of the Evora, and its presence at the Paris Motor Show.
It appears that two new versions of the Lotus Evora will be on the stand in October: the Evora S and Evora Auto. We imagine the S will be some sort of souped up version of the outstanding 2+2. That quite possibly means supercharged. The Auto is likely to be (duh) equipped with an automatic transmission.
The note also left in question the number of cars to be revealed at Paris, so perhaps Lotus wants us to think there might be additional debuts. We’ll have to wait and see.
In the meantime, keep an eye on the Nürburgring, as the new versions of the Evora should be testing there over the next few days.
