WRR TV: Watch a Bentley Continental GT3 Muscle Its Way Through the Pack

Ride along as Butch Leitzinger pilots the #8 Bentley Continental GT3 of Dyson Racing Team Bentley to a fourth place Pirelli World Challenge finish at Road America. In his debut appearance driving the Bentley Continental GT3, Leitzinger set the second fastest lap time in two PWC sprint races held at Road America. Finishing sixth and fourth place respectively in a doubleheader at 18th-19th June, the event also marked Bentley’s return to the North American racing circuit since competing in the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2003. Note: GT3 cars do not have launch control and thus are disadvantaged at the start versus cars built specifically for Pirelli World Challenge racing, as you will see in the video.

This race also saw the return of Butch Leitzinger to the Dyson Racing roster. He has shared 20 years of history with the team and first drove for Dyson Racing in the 1995 24 Hours of Daytona. Leitzinger also has a history with Bentley as well, racing for the British team in the 2001 and 2002 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Powered by a race-tuned version of Bentley’s 4.0-liter biturbocharged V8 engine that is coupled to a six-speed sequential gearbox, the race spec GT3 also features four-way adjustable dampers, Brembo competition brakes, and is more than 2200 pounds lighter than its road-going Continental GT counterpart.
