The biggest Beverly Hills car show, the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance, once again captivated car aficionados and families alike, as it celebrated its 28th year as Southern California’s premier Father’s Day event. With its dazzling display of fine automobiles, delectable food, and vibrant atmosphere, this year’s Concours drew an impressive crowd of over 44,000 attendees to California’s most glamorous street.
The brainchild of the passionate car enthusiast, Bruce Meyer, the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance has long been hailed as a must-see event. “Today was all about the dads, and a free, world-class car show is the perfect way to celebrate,” Meyer exclaimed, his enthusiasm evident. “We strive to curate an extraordinary lineup of automobiles for this show each year, and it’s truly heartwarming to witness the community come together to revel in their splendor.”
This year, event-goers were treated to a breathtaking exhibition of some of the world’s most unique and iconic vehicles, spanning several eras. From the timeless elegance of a 1929 Rolls-Royce to the sleek power of a 2017 Lamborghini Aventador, automotive enthusiasts were immersed in a feast for the senses. The coveted Best in Show accolade was awarded to the Nethercutt Collection for its immaculate 1931 Bugatti Type 51 Coupe by Dubos. Todd Blue’s meticulously restored 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300SC Cabriolet earned the Mayor’s Award for its unparalleled elegance, while Matt Katz’s striking 1953 Fiat 8V by Vignale claimed the Rodeo Drive Award for its captivating style. These winners, along with a distinguished panel that included legendary comedian and car aficionado Jay Leno, Beverly Hills Mayor Dr. Julian Gold, and Rodeo Drive Committee President Kathy Gohari, celebrated the passion and craftsmanship behind these automotive works of art.
Mayor Dr. Julian Gold expressed his delight, stating, “This event encapsulates the very essence of Beverly Hills—awe-inspiring cars, our wonderful community, and an opportunity to revel in the splendor of Rodeo Drive. It’s remarkable to witness this cherished tradition and witness families and car enthusiasts alike basking in the joy of Father’s Day.”
The success of the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance was made possible through the collaborative efforts of local car owners and generous sponsors who share a deep appreciation for the automotive world. Their contributions to the Beverly Hills car show not only ensured the event’s continued success but also cemented its reputation as a world-class celebration of automotive excellence.
