Rumors: 2015 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe Spotted Ahead of LA Reveal Packing a Pair of Turbos

Cars, News I By Winding Road Staff I October 29, 2014
While we’re certainly fans of the ATS Coupe in its standard form, and found plenty to like about the CTS Vsport, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a Caddy get the full V treatment. But if these spy shots are any indicator, it looks like the wait is just about over, as the upcoming ATS-V Coupe was spotted completely exposed during a photo shoot ahead of its LA Auto Show debut next month.

Sporting beefed up bodywork, a carbon fiber front splitter, massive brake calipers, and the tell-tale chrome mesh grill treatment that we’ve seen on previous V models, the upcoming ATS-V Coupe is rumored to be motivated by a modified version of the 3.6-liter twin turbocharged V6 used in the CTS Vsport, which makes 420 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque in the CTS.

Additional spy shots reveal a pair of sport seats designed to accommodate racing harnesses, while another shows off the quad exhaust tips and a set of what appear to be carbon ceramic discs.

The spy shots show that the V definitely looks the business, and considering some of the competition it faces, we’d expect nothing less from the sport-focused ATS. We’ll have more for you on the 2015 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe once it officially debuts in Los Angeles.
