The 2010 North American International Auto Show is only a few weeks away, and the final ballots are being tallied for the North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards, one of the most prestigious honors that a U.S.-market car can achieve.
The final list of contenders has been narrowed down to three vehicles in each category.
Car of the Year
2010 Buick LaCrosse – Direct injection and the new face of GM.
2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid – The most fuel-efficient mid-size sedan in America.
2010 Volkswagen Golf/GTI – Possibly the most well-received hatch of all time.
Truck of the Year
2010 Chevrolet Equinox – Efficient, stylish, and very high quality.
2010 Ford Transit Connect – Is there anything this little bugger can’t do?
2010 Subaru Outback – One of the best all-rounders on sale today.
We’ll be live at the award ceremony come early January, and we’ll be sure to post which vehicle wins in each category. Let us know what contenders you think should take the cake, in comments.
