Rumors: Auto Shows – Chevrolet Trax SUV Debuting In Paris

News I By Brandon Turkus I August 16, 2012
In an effort to expand its European profile, Chevrolet will be debuting the Trax SUV at the 2013 Paris Motor Show in September. The Trax will be joining the Chevrolet Captiva as the bow-tie brand’s smaller SUV offering.

As usual, our European friends get some cool stuff that we don’t see in the States. In particular, a 1.7-liter turbodiesel delivers 130 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. It’s available alongside the 1.4-liter turbo from the Chevrolet Sonic and a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated gas engine. A six-speed manual transmission with start-stop technology is standard, while a six-speed automatic is also available. All-wheel drive is available on the turbo and diesel engines.

On the practical front, the five-passenger Trax offers a 12.6-cubic-foot trunk along with a 60/40 split second row, and a front passenger seat that can be folded flat.

The Trax will make its official debut on September 27 in Paris.
