Forbidden Fruit: Lotus Evora Sports Racer

News I By John Beltz Snyder I February 11, 2013
The Lotus Evora Sports Racer was recently announced as a Europe-only version of the hot, mid-engined 2+2 coupe. It comes with the naturally aspirated and supercharged versions of the 3.5-liter V-6, mated to either a six-speed manual or Intelligent Precision Shift (IPS) transmission with wheel-mounted paddles.

The Evora SR comes standard with the Sports Pack, which includes a sports diffuser, sports exhaust tailpipe, cross-drilled brake discs, and a switchable sports mode that increases throttle response, raises the rev limit, and alters the Dynamic Performance Management (DPM) settings for a more performance-minded stability control program.

The Tech Pack includes an upgraded stereo system, DVD player, seven-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The SR also gets power-folding mirrors and backup camera as standard.

Inside the car, there are standard black leather Premium Sports seats with read piping and stitching, with grey Suedetex throughout the interior. Venom Red seating is also available for a splash of color.

The Lotus Evora SR sounds like the perfect car for some fast touring across Europe, with stops at all the famous tracks.
