Rumors: Spy Shots—2014 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

News I By Doran Dal Pra I October 24, 2012

The interwebs have been awash this morning in exciting news about the upcoming C7 Chevrolet Corvette. It was confirmed that the next generation ‘Vette will arrive with General Motor’s brand new LT1 small block V-8 which should pump out 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. And now we have even more good news to share—the steady handed spy shooters over at Autoblog recently posted photos of the droptop version of the next Corvette.

Spotted during a testing run with a C7 Coupe and a Porsche 911 in tow, the Corvette convertible will utilize a cloth roof to avoid the added weight that is inherent with a retractable hardtop. It maintains the current Corvette’s attractive profile, and should look properly excellent with its split-spoke wheels and when the heavy camouflage is removed.
Keep an eye here for all the details on the next Corvette.
