Here we ride along with John Allen racing in round 3 of Spec MX-5 Challenge – East at VIRginia International Raceway on March 12, 2018. John is an expert sim racer who has recently "graduated" to "real" racing, first in Spec Miata and now in Spec MX-5 Challenge. John illustrates how strong sim drivers can successfully transition from sim racing to traditional racing. He's had several poles in Spec MX-5 Challenge (including in this race). John says he still has some learning to do, but we'd say he's looking pretty good for such limited experience.
