First came the design concept, then the track video, then the interior shots. Now McLaren, on its Facebook page, has revealed photos of the upcoming P1 at Bahrain International Circuit, and they are the most revealing yet.
The first CTR to feature a mid-engine layout instead of a rear-engine one (the car is build on a Porsche Cayman, rather than a 911, this time around), RUF tells us that the commonality with the former Yellowbirds is the CTR3’s pureness as a driving tool.
The beginning of the 2010 Formula 1 season is just a few weeks away, with the season opener takig place at Bahrain on March 14. This year, if all goes as planned, sees four new teams: Virgin, Campos, US, and Lotus. It also sees a ban on refueling, which has required constructors to build larger fuel tanks into the cars. Furthermore, Montreal, Canada will host the Canadian Grand Prix, which was absent from last years schedule.
Red Bull’s Formula 1 team seems pretty excited about the return of the Canada Grand Prix in Montreal. Instead of waiting until June, they take a car out on the Canadian ice to gear up.
