It has been ten years since Ferrari launched their world-crushing halo car, the Enzo. Named after the company’s founder, the Enzo was the rolling embodiment of Ferrari’s racing and roadcar prowess and the results were game changing. Now, the Prancing Horse is preparing to unleash the Enzo’s replacement—currently being called the F70—upon the world, and we have our first official teaser images of the new car, first seen in Ferrari Magazine and obtained here courtesy of FerrariChat.
The shadowy image of the F70’s backside is promising—we see hints of 458 Italia, F12berlinetta, Enzo, the one-off Pininfarina P4/5, and a Ferrari Formula 1 car in the sharp lines, tailights, and bodywork. We particularly like what appears to be the center mounted exhaust that has been designed to look like the rain light on a Formula 1 car. Ferrari also released a teaser image of the F70’s snout, which continues on with elements of the company’s current styling language.
As you’d expect from Ferrari, all associated numbers with the F70 are simply straospheric. As we’ve reported on before, the F70 should come packing around 800 horsepower from a 6.3-liter V-12, and another 120 horsepower coming from a KERS system. Weight should be under 3000 pounds, thanks to an extensive lightweight materials, and the final price for Ferrari’s latest halo vehicle should end with something like six zeros. We, along with the rest of Planet Earth, are eagerly anticipating the F70’s likely reveal at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
