We just stumbled across an unbelievable eBay find. This 1991 Nissan Sentra project car, nicknamed “Da Hoopty,” is truly a one-of-a-kind vehicle. Where else have you seen a car with rope lighting, “Stealth mode,” and “tailgater avoidance system”? That’s right, nowhere.
As of this writing, it has 47 bids, and still remains well under $300. According to the seller, “For over 6 years this has been our project, our beater, our canvas, our toy, and our friend… It’s been used as a workbench, jumped on, punched, kicked, hit, chased, beaten, shot at, rained on, and even set on fire, but it still refuses to die.”
This homemade convertible also has 120-volt outlets, a partial aluminum roof, an oil leak, a switch to kill the lights (Stealth mode), a reservoir that squirts water on those who follow too closely, and, of course plenty of duct tape. The seller has a good rating, and, apparently, a healthy sense of humor.
