Ferrari 458 Spyder To Start At $257,000

News I By Brandon Turkus I September 28, 2011
Automotive News Europe has broken the pricing story on the hot looking Ferrari 458 Spyder. The droptop version of the two-seat supercar will retail for $257,000 when it finally hits US shores. That price represents only a 15-percent (or $38,350) increase on the hardtop, which is actually in line with the rest of the industry when it comes to convertible premiums (for example, both Ford and BMW demand similar premiums for their convertible models)

For that money, you get the same 4.5-liter V-8 and seven-speed F1-derived dual-clutch transmission, as well as a folding hardtop and a tan. The 458 Spyder hits American dealerships in January, so start saving your pennies.
