In celebration of this year’s upcoming Mobil 1 Twelve Hours Of Sebring Presented By Advance Autosports in March, we thought this throwback would be fun to share: a 22-minute documentary detailing how the legendary race went down back in 1970.
Quite a few well-known drivers took part in wheeling some beautiful (and now historical) prototypes around the bumpy Florida track. One of whom didn’t rise to prominence behind the wheel, however, but rather the silver screen. Though, he was known for having an affinity for all things motorsports and being pretty good at them: Steve McQueen. He famously podiumed in his Porsche 908 with a broken foot which he’d gotten just a few days prior racing motorcycles.
