Driving Experience: Iconic Florida Tracks with Christina Nielsen

While the life of a professional racing driver rarely allows the time to explore the local area of a race, a two-time IMSA Champion looks to change that.  Christina Nielsen is hosting a once-in-a-lifetime trip this October, where she will be giving a select few an opportunity to get behind the wheel and improve their driving skills at three iconic Florida racing tracks (Daytona, Sebring, and Homestead).  Where driving will be the focus of the trip, the discerning few will also have the thrilling experience of an alligator airboat tour, diving with sharks, and a Michelin dining experience (all included).

“One misconception that there is about the kind of lifestyle that you live as a race car driver is people say, ‘Oh, you go to all these amazing destinations’. And I say, ‘Yeah, I see a racetrack, a hotel, and an airport. And that’s it.’”  Nielsen goes on to explain, “So when my career was at its busiest, I didn’t see a lot. It was essentially a priority thing: Do I want to stay an extra two days and play a tourist and spend your energy, or do I want to go home and recharge my batteries? So it’s always a trade-off when it’s a busy schedule.”
