Captured: Spania GTA Spano Drives Goodwood
The Spanish supercar called the
Spania GTA Spano took to the hill climb race at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. We’ve seen static shots of the car before, in black, so to see the car in motion out on the course in bright yellow paint is a welcome sight.
Also, we couldn’t help but notice the camera mounted to the top of the vehicle. We’re hoping that means we’ll be able to enjoy a video of the GTA Spano tackling the hill at Goodwood very soon.
The GTA Spano features an 8.4-liter V-10 putting down a riotous 900 horsepower, does 0-62 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds, and has a top speed over 217 mph. Scroll down for more information in the press release, below.
GTA Spano at the most famous hill climb
Last weekend GTA Spano was once again the main lure when attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed, considered one of the most prestigious motoring events worldwide, and it became one of the main features in what is known as the “Michelin Supercar Run”.
In this event, the 50 best supercars chosen by the Organising Committee took part in this Supercar Run. It consists in two daily hill climbs on the famous hill with its 2,57 km run in the parklands surrounding Goodwood House, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Richmond and Gordon.
This year Spania GTA participated in this event for the second year running, which was filled with great expectations and with some 190,000 visitors attended according to Organising Committee data.
The official Spania GTA test driver, Borja García, delighted fans with the GTA Spano yellow vehicle, which was one of the most applauded by the public.
On Thursday 11th July, the event started with the Moving Motor Show, in which enthusiasts could see the latest car models on the market. Then Friday saw the turn of the traditional hill climb by the vehicles divided into various groups, ranging from classical cars to F1 vehicles.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed included several exhibition areas with automobiles and motorbikes from all ages and categories, as well as lots acclaimed drivers and in which practically all the brands were present.
To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the Organising Committee prepared an exhibition of the best cars, motorcycles and drivers which have attended the festival over the years.
