Jay Penske’s Dragon Racing has signed on as the fourth of the ten teams to take part in the electric-only FIA Formula E Championship series. The team, based out of Los Angeles, follows Andretti Autosport as the second IndyCar team to add itself to the roster.
Formula E, the first fully-electric car race series, is coming next year, and it will be televised on Fox Sports. The FIA championship series will feature open-wheel, zero-emissions electric cars. Formula E cars are capable of speeds over 135 miles per hour.

There is an anticipation that comes with attending an event like Indy that differs from other things in life. I just got home from Indy yesterday, and I’m already looking forward to the 2013 race. After this year’s race, though, I’m not really sure I’ll ever attend it the way I used to.
