Buyer’s Guide: The Klemantaski Collection

Louis Klemantaski, whose motorsport photography work spans from 1930s through the 1970s, represents the pinnacle of the Jacques-Henri Lartigue aesthetic, a photographer who pioneered the art of capturing images moving objects during the turn of the 20th century. The son of a Willys-Overland importer, Klemantaski spent his youth at the famous Brooklands racing circuit in Surrey, England, both racing on the circuit as well as taking photos of cars during races.

WRR TV: 2001 Subaru Impreza WRX UK300 by Prodrive

As a joint project between Subaru engineers and the rally-bred mad scientists at Prodrive, the UK300 was created to celebrate the rally success the Impreza had found in the UK over the previous years, and featured styling work carried out by Peter Stevens who designed the famous McLaren F1 and Subaru WRC rally car. The “300” denotes the total number of units produced.

Preview: Bentley Continental GT3-R

Until very recently, it’d been quite a while since a factory-entered Bentley had taken the victory in a top tier racing event in the UK. Eighty four years, to be exact. But when a Continental GT3 secured the top spot in the second round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Silverstone, it was certainly cause for celebration. For Bentley, that meant taking this winning formula to the street in the form of a hardcore, limited edition road-going version of the GT3 race car, dubbed the Continental GT3-R, which is now the fastest accelerating Bentley ever made for the street.

Racecar Profile: Chevron GT3 2014 Spec

The new Chevron GT3 marks the British company’s first foray back into the North American market in decades. Set to go toe to toe with the likes of the SRT Viper and Chevrolet Corvette in the NARRA GT Unlimited class in the US and other European rivals in the GT Cup in the UK, the GT3 is Chevron’s most powerful car to date, with a 680bhp configuration of the GT3 delivered to American businessman Harry Blazer and ex-UK racer, Briton Chris Hall for use in the GTU class in the 2014 season.

Forbidden Fruit: Caterham Seven 160

The Seven 160 is powered by a turbocharger, three-cylinder Suzuki engine producing 80 horsepower and 79 pound-feet of torque. This gives the 1080-pound car a claimed 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 100 miles per hour. Power is put to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
