Follow along as Tedward goes for a drive in the much-anticipated 2020 Supra!
While the new Mk 5 Supra street car hasn’t been revealed, Toyota did something arguably better by showing the new car in racing form at the Geneva Motor Show.
Created over the course of nearly two years by enthusiast designers at Toyota’s Calty Design Research facility in Newport Beach, California, the FT-1, or Future Toyota 1, represents Toyota’s vision of the ultimate high-performance sports car. While Toyota isn’t being explicit about it, there’s also a strong possibility that the FT-1 is also Toyota’s vision for the next Supra.
Bizarre as it sounds, if a report from The Detroit Bureau is to be believed, a new Supra from Toyota could be in development using bits and bobs from Tesla. That’s right, the next Supra could be an EV, or at least a hybrid.
