Finally, the 2019 Petit Le Mans is upon us! Also finally, the 2019 SCCA Runoffs are at VIR!
This great video by IMSA not only highlights the winner of the first-ever Petit Le Mans back in 1998, Wayne Taylor of Doyle-Risi Racing, but also also pays tribute to the event’s creator, the legendary Dr. Don Panoz, who passed away in September 2018.
With 11 days left until the 22nd Annual Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road America, there’s still a bit of work to be done by various teams to claim championships.
The Petit Le Mans comes back to its home for 21 years, Road Atlanta, for another 10 hours of end-of-season action on October 12th. In 1999, the field looked quite a bit different than it will this year, with some pretty awe-inspiring and historic cars battling between the pine trees and trying to stay out of the red clay.
In this video, Kenton and WRR send holiday best wishes to you and your family for good times and a 2017 blessed with lots of safe, stylish passing!
