If Sebastian Vettel cares whether he’s considered one of the all-time greats of Formula One, he needs to drive, and win, for another team. One of the things that established Michael Schumacher as a great, and perhaps the greatest, is that he won for two different teams. Even more importantly, Schumacher made these teams winners. Before he joined Benetton and then Ferrari, neither team was World Championship-winning caliber.
Mark Webber has announced his plans to leave Red Bull Racing, and Formula 1 as a whole, at the conclusion of this season. Next year, he’ll be driving for Porsche, spearheading its efforts to return to the top flights of endurance racing in the World Endurance Championships LMP1 class.
Anyone that’s had any experience with vinyl decals will get a kick out of this video. Red Bull Racing drivers Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel are tasked with putting together their RB9’s sponsorship livery. While that would be a difficult task on its own, due to the fickle nature of those decals, the F1 aces are forced to do it from memory.
With the Turkish Grand Prix this weekend, the Red Bull team is getting ready, hoping for another blowout. That means lots of practice. Ahead of getting onto the track on Friday, Mark Webber prepares himself using a custom-built simulator, demonstrated in this video.
