Jaguar is stepping up to the plate when it comes to high-powered luxury sedans, with an R version of its flagship XJ. Packing the same 550-horsepower, 5.0-liter, supercharged V-8 found in the XFR-S and XKR-S, the new XJR will compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG and Audi S8
Hyundai built a hot hatch. It’s called the Veloster Turbo, and it has 3.5 doors and a 201-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder under the hood. Now, bitter rival/sister company Kia has done its take on the hot hatch, offering up a stylish, five-door Forte with the same 201-horsepower engine. Verdict? Well, the Forte wins on looks.
This is a car for the one percent of the one percent of the one percent. Essentially a topless Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, the Vitesse boasts the same 8.0-liter, 1200-horsepower, 16-cylinder, quad-turbocharged engine as the Super Sport. That car can hit 267 miles per hour (over a very long section of road). We expect the top-speed to fall somewhat with the removal of the roof (we can’t imagine traveling almost one-third the speed of sound without a roof is safe), though.
