Mercedes-Benz has announced the 2013 G-Class, highlighting the new styling and available technology.
Unlike the 2012 vintage, the 2013 model will pack two different engine options. The top of the range will be the GLK350, packing a direct-injected, 3.5-liter V-6. With 302 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, the refined V-6 is 34 more horsepower and 15 more pound-feet of torque than last year’s model. Both standard and 4Matic models will hit 60 miles per hour in about 6.5 seconds, and top out at 130 miles per hour. Stop-start is also standard.
Mercedes-Benz has released a wealth of details about the changes to the brand’s model year 2012 offerings. While some aren’t terrifically exciting, there are a few good nuggets of information pertaining to new engine options and body styles.
