After teasing the car at Monza, and images leaking on the internet, Caterham has officially debuted its AeroSeven concept at the Singapore Grand Prix, and a production version is due in the fall of 2014.
Hidden in this short teaser video are a couple shots of an upcoming Volvo concept car expected to debut at Frankfurt. From one image, we see a badge that appears to say “Concept C Coupe.” Sneaky devils.
It’s a rather simple video, with three of the new M6 Gran Coupes tackling the state-of-the-art course at sunset. There’s a bit of drifty action from the trailing car, and the camera work is rather impressive. Check it out below, and be sure to check back when our full review of the M6 Gran Coupe goes live.
Enter the delightful maniacs at Hennessey, makers of the ballistic Venom GT and tuners extraordinaire. The team at Hennessey has turned its wrenches towards the Taurus SHO and MKS, and delivered a pair of all-wheel-drive rockets that are sure to wow unassuming Mopar drivers.
Now, to be clear, despite the punchy six-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive, there’s nothing really exciting about the Venza driving experience. With 268 horsepower and 246 pound-feet of torque, acceleration is merely adequate. This Toyota will easily get out of its own way, and packs enough punch for quick passes on the highway. Credit this more to the clever six-speed automatic than the actual powerplant. This six-cog is willing to drop gears without much hunting about, while delivering brisker-than-expected upshifts. Acceleration from a standstill is brisk, but doesn’t have the same kind of punch as some of the four-cylinder, turbocharged competition, largely due to the Venza’s 6200-rpm horsepower peak and 4700-rpm torque peak.
