Ladies and gentlemen, your 2013 Range Rover is nearly here. Land Rover has released the first official images and information about the posh SUV, and made it know that the first examples will be arriving in dealerships just in time for Christmas 2012 (better be good this year).

First Look: 2013 Ford Shelby GT500

We like this modern Muscle Car War that’s been going on. As if Chevrolet’s upcoming Camaro ZL1 wasn’t attractive enough with its 580-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V-8, Ford has now announced a 650-horsepower (!) GT500. Let’s put that number in perspective. It’s 12 more horsepower than a Corvette ZR1, 30 more than a Porsche 911 GT2 RS, and it’s about equal to the Ferrari FF. Yes, there’s more to life than just horsepower, but a 650-horsepower Mustang that comes with a factory warranty is enough to inspire jaw-on-the-floor stares.

First Look: 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Continuing the barrage of 2013 Ford Mustang releases is this fun tidbit about the hardcore Boss 302. While there isn’t much changing with the Boss (aside from the sheetmetal changes mentioned here), there will be a couple of new colors, as well as a reflective graphics package reminiscent of Parnelli Jones’ 1970 Boss.

First Look(s): Lotus Exige S, Exige R-GT, Elise S

Lotus continues to make waves on the auto show circuit, unveiling three versions of the Elise to the Frankfurt crowds. The first model is the S version of a Winding Road favorite, the Exige. Power now comes from a 3.5-liter V-6, which generates an impressive 345 horsepower. That hefty piece of metal does add some weight, with the new car weighing in at 2380 pounds. Acceleration should still be brisk, though, as the weight-to-power ratio remains at a very respectable 6.89 pounds per horsepower. Other enhancements include a new front splitter and rear spoiler for added aerodynamics.

First Look: 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale

For most people, the Lamborghini Gallardo, in its various iterations, is quite extreme. V-10 power and all-wheel drive make for a rather exciting supercar. There are anomalies among these people though, who don’t think the standard version is quite enough. So for them, the 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale might be a better vehicle choice.

First Look: 2013 Lexus GS450h

Lexus has taken the wraps off the next-generation GS, with the unveiling of the GS450h. Based rather heavily on the LF-Gh Concept from last year’s New York Auto Show, the GS450h features an exterior that’s best described as an evolution of the current GS.

First Look: 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

While we already featured images of the new-for-2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class, the press release describing the improvements for the Tuscaloosa, Alabama-built SUV has just been released. The restyling looks to be fairly thorough, with the ML borrowing cues from several different Mercedes models. We can see SLS AMG in the grille, with CLS in the headlights, and E-class in the taillights.

First Look: 2012 Subaru Impreza

Subaru claims the redesigned Impreza can get 36 miles per gallon on the freeway and 27 city, while still hauling around the weight of its trademark Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. According to Subaru, that makes this the most fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive car on the market (expect to hear that quite a lot over the coming months).

First Look: 2013 Ford Taurus Range

Since its debut as a 2010 model, the Ford Taurus has brought the Blue Oval back into the large sedan segment in a way it hasn’t enjoyed in almost two decades. To keep the Taurus from getting stale, the 2013 model gets the traditional mid-cycle refresh.

First Look: 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan R-Spec

In the Hyundai universe, R-Spec is a designation shared by the turbocharged four-cylinder and V-6-powered Genesis Coupe. These models denote cars from the Track trim that have had many of their luxuries stripped away in the interest of saving weight and money. For 2012, the R-Spec badge will adorn the larger Genesis Sedan.

First Look: Jaguar C-X75 Concept

Equal parts birthday present, technology demonstrator, and styling exercise, the Jaguar C-X75 Concept has broken cover in Paris. Designed for Jaguar’s 75th birthday, the C-X75 looks like a reinvented XJ220, and we must say we like it. We also like the stats.
