Separating the nomenclature from the 3-Series Sedan, the 4-Series is the new name for the 3-Series Coupe (the Convertible will also share the “4” moniker, when it arrives). It has a longer wheelbase, wider track, and lower ride height than the 3er. It looks similar up front, but the squatter, wider stance and touches like the vents behind the wheels (or, as BMW calls them, “Air Breathers”) make the new car look more aggressive and sporty.
Three cheers for another new wagon in the US market! BMW has announced that the long-roof version of the new 3-Series is absolutely, positively, 100-percent coming to the US, and it’ll be here in the Spring of 2013.
BMW’s 2012 6-Series Gran Coupe will be the first 6-Series in history to go beyond two doors. To improve rear legroom and fit the additional two doors on, BMW has stretched the wheelbase 4.4 inches beyond the regular 6-Series. The Gran Coupe will be wider, lower, and longer than the 5-Series.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be getting a few significant updates when the 2012 model year hits dealerships this summer.
