Today, we received a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited in Indigo Blue Pearl. The roomy little guy is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine making 148 horsepower and 131 pound-feet of torque. It’s equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission. Its EPA rating is an impressive 29/40 miles per gallon (city/highway).
We are currently driving the 2011 Saab 9-5 at our Michigan office. Its 2.0-liter turbo four makes 220 horsepower, and gears are shifted with a six-speed automatic transmission. The exterior on our tester is silver (Glacier Silver Metallic, to be exact), and the interior is black leather.
Today, we celebrate the first day of our three-month loan of the 2011 Mazda2 Touring with five-speed a manual transmission. You may recall how much we loved our time with the car at launch, or perhaps you read Tom Martin’s column in praise of the 2.
We received a special delivery this week in the form of a Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid. Like the standard issue Prius, power is delivered to the front wheels by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that produces 98 horsepower and 104 pound-feet of torque. An electric motor helps things along, producing an additional 80 horsepower and 152 pound-feet of torque, resulting in a grand total of 178 horsepower and 256 pound-feet of torque.
Here, at our Ypsilanti, Michigan office, we have just taken loan of a 2010 Lexus GX460. We’re excited because we can’t remember the last time we dove a vehicle with a Knight’s Armor Pearl paint job.
We’ll have The Audi S4 for about a week, so shoot us your questions and we’ll do our best to answer them.
Today, a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 roared into the Winding Road parking lot. We’ll have it on hand for about a week, so feel free to ask us any questions you may have about it.
