Audi has announced a special high-security version of its A8L full-size luxury sedan, known rather creatively as the A8L Security. Since the earliest days of the current A8, a high-security model has been in the works, which has allowed the gurus in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm to plan accordingly. The process of transforming a standard, off-the-line A8 is done by hand, and requires about 450 hours of work.
Today, we received a press release from Audi with the words “Kenny G” in it, and we were admittedly intrigued.
Ah, Miami in November (almost December). What better place for Audi to officially take the wraps off of its 2011 A8 flagship? The new sedan’s design is a proper evolution of the Audi styling language we’ve seen infused on the A4 and A5 in recent years, but there’s a whole lot of new-ness to this car, namely those sexy headlamps.
