Oscar Piastri is officially a McLaren F1 driver. After all the contract drama with Alpine heading into the summer break, a four-person Contract Recognition Board unanimously ruled in McLaren and Oscar Piastri's favor. Soon after, McLaren confirmed Piastri on a multi-year deal.
Colton Herta is rumored to be on the verge of signing a contract with Red Bull Racing for an F1 seat at sister team, Alpha Tauri. According to multiple reports, Herta poised to take the seat being vacated by Pierre Gasly.
Recently, writer Darshan Chokhani posted an article on Drivetribe about MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi having his seat fitted at Mercedes F1 -a seat formerly occupied by 2019 F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
We’ve been gearing up for the 2020 Spec MX-5 Season. After a lot of development and planning over the past few seasons, and some major announcements over the past few months, it’s going to be an awesome year.
Despite the tremendous threat of light rain and an un-seasonably cold SoCal day averaging 65 degrees Fahrenheit, on the 7th of this month we trekked up to Silverado, California for this year’s chapter of Radwood SoCal. With the Santa Ana Mountains comprising its backdrop, Oak Canyon Park proved to be an excellent venue to host a large gaggle of iconic rides. There was even a good amount of Fall foliage, which can be a bit of a rarity in these parts, which matched the vehicular color palette quite well.
This weekend is far from where we were a few months ago, sports fans. By that, we mean there isn’t much racing getting broadcasted over the airwaves. Though, luckily there are still a few noteworthy events to keep an eye out for, and keep our racing addictions fulfilled.

Sports Car Club of America® has released the schedule for the 2020 Tire Rack CAM Challenge Powered by SCCA, “America’s Pro-Touring Autocross Championship Series.” The calendar consists of seven stops around the country, including one stand-alone event at Grissom Aeroplex in Peru, Indiana.

Spec MX-5 Challenge, LLC today announced that the 2020 Championship for the Spec MX-5 Challenge presented by Toyo Tires would be held November 5-8, 2020 at Circuit of The Americas. Circuit of The Americas, near Austin, TX, is the home track for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix as well as other major road racing events including the AutoNation IndyCar Challenge and MotoGP.

It has been announced that John Doonan, former head of Mazda Motorsports, will be the new president of IMSA. We can’t think of a better person to fill the role considering his massive enthusiasm for all things motorsports, upbeat/friendly personality, and very substantial background.
Hyundai had a spectacular 2019 season in TCR. Their Veloster N proved to be quite capable on track, and the nice shade of sky blue painted on the podium this past weekend at Road Atlanta shows this.
