WRR TV: 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Hot Lap at Road America

Cars, Reviews I By Winding Road Staff I July 05, 2016

Ride along with us as we do a lap around Road America during the 2016 Midwest Automotive Media Association Spring Rally.

The standard GT350 uses the same flat-crank 5.2-liter V8 as the GT350R, which dishes out 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, and is hooked to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission.

The braking system is identical to the GT350R’s as well as is comprised of 15.4-inch rotors up front, clamped by Brembo six-piston fixed calipers with integrated caliper bridges, while 14.9-inch rotors with four-piston calipers can be found in the rear.

Inside, an all-new drive-mode system allows selection of five unique settings that change the characteristics of the ABS, stability control, traction control, steering effort, throttle mapping, MagneRide tuning and exhaust settings. Let’s see how the GT350 hustles around a fast track like Road America:
