Update: Car Reviews Lotus Evora GT4

Reviews I By John Beltz Snyder I November 13, 2013
The Lotus Evora GT4 is a racer built for Europe’s GT4 Championship, but also competes in the one-make Lotus Cup series and other races. Its naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V-6 makes 355 horsepower and 328 pound-feet of torque.
Now, it’s rare that someone—anyone—would get the chance to drive this Lotus racecar, let alone write a review on it, but Car has done just that. So what is it like to drive?
Without the optional ABS, the brakes are a bit difficult to use, and require a bit of extra force, but its something one gets used to after a bit of driving.
The Grip of the slick tires makes it feel natural to throw around on the track. The power-assisted steering offers less feedback, but is easy to you and gives the driver some added confidence.
Handling is fluid, and the car feels balanced in the corners.
While the gearbox feels a bit jarring, it feels better at racing speeds, and doesn’t cause any hangups when swapping cogs.
The engine is very quick, and the chassis feels tuned to match it.
The overall driving impression is consistent. “After an hour of hard driving on track you’ll climb out thinking you could punch in those very same lap times over and over again.”
