Zero Unveils 2012 Electric Motorcycle Lineup

News I By Brandon Turkus I November 09, 2011
It’s not often we cover the world of two wheels, but every once in a while, something comes along we can’t ignore. Such is the case with Zero Motorcycles. The startup, founded by a former NASA engineer, produces a line of electric motorcycles, and has just dropped its 2012 lineup.

All five models look ready to impress, with a 114-mile range, regenerative braking, an 88-mile-per-hour top speed, and prices that are on par with a Yamaha R6 or Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. Zero’s bikes also boast a maintenance free powertrain with a battery pack that can last for 308,000 miles.

Zero’s 2012 line goes on sale this February, but pre-orders are currently being accepted.
