Video: McLaren P1 Will Have Race-Inspired Dash, Geneva Debut

McLaren will be showing the production version of the P1 hypercar at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show on March 5. Yes, that’s over a month away, and we know what an impatient bunch you are. So do McLaren, apparently.

To sate the hunger of enthusiasts, the British manufacturer has unveiled a video showing the P1’s race-inspired digital dash rearranging itself into Race mode. A display of the car is shown, extending its double-element rear wing, before the display switches to an F1-style set of shift lights. If you’re a Formula 1 geek like us, seeing these shift lights on a car (even if they’re only in digital form) is just the sort of race-inspired sillyness that gets us excited.
