Video: Hear The Roush Stage 3 Mustang Roar

In just a few weeks time, we’ll be testing the all-new Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Based on the 2014 Mustang, the Stage 3 takes the Mustang GT’s standard 5.0-liter V-8 and fits an Eaton supercharger. Along with an intercooler and a ECU tweak, the Stage 3 pumps out 575 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque, up from the stock Mustang GT’s 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

 

For those that need more power, the Stage 3 is also available in 625- and 675-horsepower variants that utilize Ford Racing’s Aluminator crate engine. Regardless of which power level you opt for, you’ll be getting a thoroughly reworked suspension that features custom-tuned shocks and springs, a stiffer front sway bar, and a meaty set of Cooper Zeon RS3-S high-performance tires.

 

There’s also the standard spate of exterior and interior tweaks, and a fairly healthy options list. There are four different brake packages to choose from, a rear-seat delete kit, Roush hood struts, and a throaty, off-road exhaust system.
