You’ll hear us drop the phrase “Need For Speed” every once in a while, usually in reference to the video game franchise (and occasionally when quoting Top Gun). Today, we use it in reference to something more tangible—an actual racecar.
Team Need For Speed (of video game fame), along with driver Chris Rado, has developed an 1100-horsepower, all-wheel-drive Scion tC time attack car for Unlimited Class Racing. Armed with a whole lotta wing, both in front and back, the car made its track debut at Road Atlanta over the weekend, but it reportedly still has some bugs to work out.
We’ll keep an eye on this one, and we’re hoping the 1100-horsepower tC will make its way into the next NFS game title, so we can get behind the wheel, virtually.
