Star Wars Volkswagen Passat In eBay Charity Auction
We know you like cars. We can safely assume that many of you are also Star Wars fans (well, at least of Episodes IV through VI). And if you’ve read our review of the 2012 Volkswagen Passat, you might be interested in this eBay charity auction. It’s a one-of-a-kind Star Wars Passat TDI. How’s that for a mash-up of interests?
The Passat’s design his hand-drawn by comic book artist Ken Lashey. As of this writing, bidding is well below the car’s MSRP of $32,195. Funds go to a program called Stand Up To Cancer. The auction for this item ends Friday afternoon.

To celebrate the much anticipated release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray available beginning on September 12th internationally and on September 16th in North America, eBay is partnering with Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to create a dedicated destination page for Star Wars on eBay, eBay.com/starwars.
Fans will have the opportunity to bid on rare merchandise and exclusive VIP experiences with all proceeds benefitting Stand Up To Cancer and its work to accelerate groundbreaking cancer research. Auction items include a one-of-a-kind Star Wars-edition 2012 Volkswagen Passat (US only), a pair of sold out VIP tickets to Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, one-of-a-kind memorabilia and much, much more.
All charity auctions will benefit Stand Up To Cancer. Auctions begin on September 16th at 12:00 PM EDT and continue until 12:00 PM EDT on September 23rd in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. A complete list of auction items will be announced shortly.
